Oil is sh!t
No really, it is. Biocrude is crude oil that we make and it is possible to make it from sewage.
Now in case you were wondering why this is here in a collection all about green technology, I shall elaborate. Biocrude technically is not a fossil fuel. Fossil fuels are carbon that has been stored deep underground for millions of years, so it is carbon that has been taken out of the environment. When we dig it up and burn it, we are adding carbon to the environment that has been locked away for aeons, which is where all the problems arise.
Biocrude on the other hand, is carbon that is currently in the environment and has been converted into something else rather then being stored away indefinitely. I am not saying this is perfect, because I am pretty sure that crude oil of any stripe is going to be toxic in one way or another, but it would alleviate the need for digging up those fossil fuels that do add carbon to the environment.
