Self driving cars will be allowed on UK roads
This is pretty cool, although why we are lagging behind other countries is a mystery.

I think the potential for intelligent traffic rerouting is the most exciting part of this. A combination of satnav, robot control and disaster awareness could greatly reduce jams and stoppages, being able to re-route that many vehicles on the fly to alternative routes before pile ups happen is amazing. I wonder how many people fall asleep as they don’t have to concentrate though?
