Steer clear of CCleaner…

August 2, 2018 by Alan Stainer

Steer clear of CCleaner…

…and Avast and AVG.

I have seen lots of issues with all of the products owned by Avast and have been actively telling clients not to use Avast or AVG. I hadn’t realised they now owned CCleaner as well (which I have always been skeptical about).

For more information on the reasons why I don’t recommend the above products, I made a post about it here: https://plus.google.com/b/112693459192985449781/112693459192985449781/posts/AtRA3JxsNDM

Thanks for the heads up, I haven’t used CCleaner for years but I’ll be sure to stay away from it from now on
