A solar solution you can roll up and fit in your backpack

Not on the market yet, but there is a Kickstarter campaign and they only need $30k.

If you are going to be going somewhere remote, it could be just what you need.

I have a little (8″ by 4″) solar panel that charges an LED light with a large battery, which permits me to charge my phone.

When I go out, I leave the panel hanging out so it works all day long.

Why on earth would you need something “flexible” (though flexible = less breakable in some cases), and that you’d be putting away?

Where’s the sensible stuff, like the solar panel you put in your car window to charge your car battery and keep your car slightly cooler?

Lyndon NA that is a good point. I assume it would be mostly used rolled up while travelling, then you can lay it out once you have set up camp.

Would be good if there was one that was integrated into the design of a backpack, which would keep charging on the move.
