Refill Horsham District is officially launched!
Wow. It was a very busy day at the launch yesterday. The sun was beating down on our backs and thankfully the council (at our request) had installed a clean water tap nearby.
It felt good to be part of something bigger than ourselves. The Refill app shows you where you can go to fill up your reusable water bottles for free. There aren’t that many water fountains for the public to use these days, so the app shows you businesses that have signed up (also for free).
What it means is less single use plastic being thrown away. When you aren’t at home, that usually means plastic bottles go into the general waste bins, but sadly often means plastic bottles get discarded willy nilly on the streets or in parks, etc. It looks unsightly and worse enters our streams and rivers and eventually our seas and oceans. Globally we have a big problem with single use plastics, so anything we can do collectively will be a big help.
If you are in the UK, go here for the Refill app. https://www.refill.org.uk/get-the-refill-app/

What a wonderful day at Funday Sunday. Thank you so much to all the lovely people who visited the stand, we were thrilled to get such an amazing response!
A huge thanks also to the Rotary Club of Horsham for organising the event and the Kinder Living Team for putting it all together.
We’re exhausted – but Horsham you are SO worth it!!
More pics to follow and we’ll post prize winners details tomorrow.
