Jaguar I-Pace, off road and on track

June 7, 2018 by Alan Stainer

Jaguar I-Pace, off road and on track

A closer look at the Jaguar I-Pace in action. I hadn’t realised it would be able to go off road and do it well!

As Robert Llewellyn mentions in the video, it’s not really a saloon car, or an SUV. It’s a bit unique in terms of type. It’ll definitely be interesting to see how it fairs when it finally comes to market.

I agree about the insanity of Brexit, almost as ridiculous as having a President Trump

I do honor great engineering attempts, whatever the national origin. This vehicle may be the first real electric SUV.

Alan, watch the segment. This vehicle does what no X can do. It’s really comfortable off road, in streams, climbing hills a person couldn’t walk up. Quite impressive.

But is Jag Pace not built in their Magna facility in Graz, Austria but as for British built / assembled cars does the relative low value of pound not mean good value? I myself am holding out for a Hydrogen Fuel Cell Toyota Auris hopefully built in Derbyshire. My existing old Auris is so reliable by time I give up on it, we may know if Hydrogen Infrastructure rolling out enough.

I’m not clear where it’s built. If we were referring to US cars, these are built with pieces from almost everywhere! I’ve had such horrible luck with my 2010 Tacoma, it’s my last Toyota: it’s vehicles have dropped in quality significantly. A good friend friend had to rewire her new Rav4 due to the wires being insulated with mice food. The company just shrugged. Strongly suggest being hyper critical of Toyota reviews.
