    It’s not a full-on adblocker like ABP; Chrome only blocks some particular types which are very disruptive or back-handed. I’m thinking of pop-unders or the ones which block the entire page.

    Mya Mi Google is all about improving web site speed and aesthetics. It’s one of the big factors in determining search rankings, which Google in invested in getting right, because that’s where they make a lot of their money. It is not in their best interest to do anything that would make the web experience worse for users of Chrome.
