Space X – Falcon Heavy test launch

Okay that has got to be the coolest thing for a long time. It makes me excited about space again.

Yes, I watched the launch and dual landings from my 5th floor office window. I participated in Navy Fleet Ballistic Missile test launches in 75 – 77, 79 and 84 – 88, then with Computer Sciences Raytheon in 88 – 95 supporting all launches. Since then, I watch for recreation, as I live about 20 miles south of the Cape. Today’s traffic jam was a record, with several accidents I observed on my way home from the office. The launch was at 1545 local time followed by the landings 5 minutes later, just in time for the beginning of rush hour. I think half of Orlando came to the Space Coast to watch the launch.
