Green tech will be everywhere in 2018

Green tech will be everywhere in 2018

Where would we be at the end of 2017, without a look ahead to 2018? There is quite a lot of going on already and it is only going to gain more pace as we move into 2018.

Unfortunately electric vehicles are still more expensive than combustion engine cars and the catching up rate of ev is nothing to be excited about

Cheon Tham there was a recent study that suggests over a 4 year period electric cars are already the cheapest to buy. Petrol (gas for you Americans out there) and diesel come second in and hybrids come third. If you are looking at the entire lifetime of an EV, then they are much cheaper than the alternatives.

Cheon Tham well that really depends on what you are looking to buy. Like for like (if you can do that with ICE vs EV) the up front cost is still more, but the running costs are so low you will save money. However, it is expected that EV up front costs will come down quickly, in the same way that solar PV and battery storage have been coming down in price.
