Should I invoice them?
I recently ordered a PC from ebuyer.com for a client of mine. When it turned up I quickly found that it was faulty.
So onto the RMA process to get it returned and a replacement delivered. I had to go through a few hoops to get the RMA accepted, and when it was ebuyer.com gave me a collection confirmation for today…
between 8am and 9pm!
In their terms, it states that if the customer changes the collection date, then a £10 charge will be incurred.
So I stayed in all day. The kids walked in to school on their own for a change, because I couldn’t leave the house. I couldn’t go out to buy bread and milk and I certainly couldn’t go and visit any clients today.
So imagine my disappointment when the courier didn’t turn up. No messages in any form to say they were running late, need to reschedule or anything like that. Just silence and no courier.
My question to you all is this, should I send an invoice to them for all the hours I stayed at home waiting?

You should at least charge them £10 for changing the delivery date. You will struggle to get any payment for your time though – I’ve tried it.

Alan Stainer Just seen this so it’s too late. I would say that you would need to check their T&Cs as they probably say that once it’s despatched it is out of their hands, and they have no control over the courier and cannot be held responsible for any failure of the courier.
