Don’t Take Security Advice from SEO Experts or Psychics

I am not the only one taking issue with Neil Patel

Oh and HTTPS is very important. Don’t ignore it.

Alan Stainer reading the comments on that article it sounds like Patel deleted his post and video with the bad advice, and now uses HTTPS on his site. So maybe he learned something :)

https is free? Where do I sign up for a free SSL certificate that doesn’t involve it being self-signed via openssl and will be recognised as trusted by all major browsers?

    Didn’t think so…

Jean-Loup Rebours-Smith there are advantages to having paid for SSL certificates (the main one being that it shows you are serious), although to be fair I have seen some where I would consider the price to be a tad too high. I hope the free SSL certificates will shake up the industry a bit to make the prices more competitive all round.

If anyone calls Neil Patel an SEO again, I will find them and kill them…

Patel is an online marketer who – out of necessity – tries to incorporate SEO elements into the sales blabber he churns out… When he does, he’s usually pulled up short by people who actually know what they’re talking about…

The dude is not even REMOTELY technical, and this isn’t the first time he’s deleted his trash because he was EMBARRASSINGLY wrong…

Peggy K From what I can see he’s recycling his large blog readership out to the various things he’s an affiliate for, and then using the numbers as though he’s able to majick those visitor figures up for his clientele.

He also claims to be the brains behind the Cheezburger network’s success, but let’s face it, a retarded chipmunk could have made that outfit go viral…

I dislike this guy even more than I detest the average SEO…
