2018 Nissan LEAF

September 6, 2017 by Alan Stainer

2018 Nissan LEAF

It looks like there are a lot of general improvements in the new LEAF. It’s not just about getting a bigger battery and more range, although it does have that too.

I am looking forward to see the impact this will have on the price of slightly older LEAF models that are already on the secondhand market.

I like what I see so far except for the battery for this model year. I was quietly hoping that the top model would be available with a 60 kWh battery but at the same time since this is a true global EV I’m not surprised Nissan is keeping things easier for themselves.

I just looked at the Nissan Canada website and it says the SV will have ProPilot which to me is super fantastic.

The price is higher in Canada for the 2018 LEAF but given the load of new improved things it will be getting they’ve done a good job at staying almost at the same price.

I like the BMW i8 still more! Pure electrical has still a long way to go! I will buy an electrical car the day it can 1500 km on a single charge driving at 120 km/h.
