Wall mounted computers

Wall mounted computers

I love what David Mantel has done here.

This video primarily features the convection-assisted, dust-retardant, easy-to-clean, wall mounted case.

The innards comprise a reasonably modern gaming computer featuring a 4ghz, 8 core AMD CPU, 8g RAM, and an ASUS “210 SILENT” graphics card featuring 1g DDR3 RAM.

All drives are external. The linux operating system is installed on a 128gb mSATA module installed in a portable USB-3 case. The CD-DVD writer is intended to be located conveniently on the desk near the remote power/reset switch.

This computer has a total of 4 USB-2 ports and 2 USB-3 ports, but there will be two USB desktop USB hubs providing much more usb connectivity than I expect to be needed.

The video also reveals the secret behind this machine’s extraordinary speed: the flux-capacitor which permits the computer to operate outside of conventional time. ;-)

Enjoy!
