November 4, 2016 by Alan Stainer

Current Hydrogen splitting technology uses 3x the power you get back. Put another way you have to generate 300 EV miles worth of electricity to 100 miles worth of Hydrogen. So…. Terrible deal just to fill up quick-er.

Either way, I think we can safely say hydrogen’s future as a possible fuel just got set back a decade by Trump’s nomination of Myron Ebell to head the EPA. deep sigh

The set back is at least four years. All renewable and alternative energy research is at risk, not to mention Climate Change. We have the first anti-science administration in history because half the population did not bother to vote.

This is not going to happen overnight. But it is going to happen. Fossil fuels are finite and the markets are finally figuring this out. Solar is unlimited. Period.

The rest of the world has the power of economic sanctions and would be advised to use that power to save the planet from idiots. Withhold your markets, and shop where your values are matched. The sooner we slip into recession, the sooner the GOP will get the boot. The US economy will not survive isolation.

Mac Baird That resonates here in Canada. Lots of buzz among our national parties regarding the carbon tax scheme. Hopefully the selfie Prince (aka PM Trudeau) will hold his ground on the tax.
