Wind turbines again. Not the massive ones you see scattered here and there on various wind farms, but smaller ones that would be ideal for small businesses and communities to own.
One thing Americans can count on here in New England is wind! especially on the Atlantic coast and 100 feet up! It’s windy everywhere in this county and electricity is free for the taking!
Hope there aren’t many birds where they deploy these… Problem with fast-moving blades is that they become bird-choppers. My work (a university) had a wind turbine trial, but it kept chopping birds down because we have a lot of beautiful birds nesting in the campus. They’ve decided to switch plans to putting up solar roofs on the car park instead, which will provide enough juice to reduce power draw from our coal-fired power stations by 25%.
Love how they repatriated the blade making and other parts of the business back from Thailand to Britain creating jobs. And that they do a lot of business with Japan after the nuclear meltdown unlike Britain itself haha :)~
The United States could learn much from this British company. I’d love to be part of such an organization based in New England to Upstate New York, where there are many many farms, small businesses, and homes that would benefit greatly from the wind and solar power systems.
Also love the simplicity of the variable speed power generation minus the mechanical gearbox, mounted generator box, and extra parts. Without these complications these variable turbines run freely letting the electrical inverter/converter control the power rates, curves and spikes without added moving parts. Brilliant!
Ashley Wilson : to prevent chopping up birds all they have to do is put a protective steel screen in front of and in back of the blades to prevent the smallest of birds from getting killed.

HAMMED MUDASHIR Well, you’d need to contact this company and make an inquiry. We don’t work for these people were just a discussion group.
