I don’t think it’s so much about which is best or worst or whatever; it’s more just which one fits a particular part of your social process best for a particular job. ;)
Okay, well for me it was always Facebook; but I’m not exactly a fan of their business practices especially having to do with privacy; Same with Google and the rest of them though…
But why Facebook has mostly to do with the fact that all of my contacts are on Facebook. It’s easy to find people I need to contact.
Being new to G+, well, I find it kind of slow going trying to find people of interest to interact with. I’ve been to communities and I don’t see anything really that interesting going on… Maybe I have yet to find the right community, but I don’t know much about going about that without wading through pages and pages of potential communities. There seem to be an endless amount of them…
I find G+ frustrating at best to become established in, considering there is nobody I know here from other areas of my life.
Graffiti Plum I know where you are coming from. Although I have been on G+ since the beta days (for the classic G+!) I didn’t know anyone at first and it was hard. I started out by following people that wrote about things that interested me. I also started following people by location and that included joining a community for people in the UK. Anyway, over time and if you interact with other people, you will get a feel for the place and it won’t seem daunting at all. I chat with people from all over the place regularly these days.

Graffiti Plum and that can depend on the person as much as on a particular job.
