Vectr – a free cross platform graphics app

I am going to have to try this one myself, it works on all the major operating systems (Windows, Mac, ChromeOS and Linux), plus there is a web app as well.

Aakash Panchal that’s a very odd comment. Why did you write it?

I went off it within about 10 minutes of first use Alan Stainer

    – It was exceedingly difficult to add text

    – No obvious way to change the text colour which defaults to the same as current colour and is therefore invisible.

    – Refuses to change text alignment from left to centre

    – Refuses to allow layers to be moved

I’m open to persuasion but my first impressions were poor. I think I’ll be sticking with the GIMP.

BTW somebody should tell TNW that the phrase ‘in minutes’ is a meaningless one. I can do something in 1440 minutes so it fits the definition. Well not exactly because that figure is 24 hours

Ian Dixon I really am going to try it out now. Hopefully it is mostly teething problems as it’s new.

Did you mean Inkscape? That’s the one I use for vector graphics.

Alan Stainer I should probably re-install Inkscape and figure out how to use it.

Graphics have never been my strong point though

Aakash Panchal thanks, but you didn’t answer my question. I am really curious and would like to know why your first comment was “Mkc”. Please explain.
