    Electric cars are starting to take off which is great… however just 1 safety thing about them that normal cars never really had is noise. EV’s are leathal in car parks because they are silent. There would have to be an increased risk to pedestrians on roads in general as well.

    Warwick Williams​ the only good thing about that is at least any collision would be at low speed. Plus with self driving technology, it may become a moot point before we know it.

    Alan Stainer I hope it does become a moot point if the tech comes out soon. So far I am not aware of anything that will prevent a pedestrian from getting hit in a car park. Low speed doesn’t mean no or small injuries especially if a child is involved.

    Warwick Williams watch the latest episode of fullychargedshow There’s a bit at the end where Robert Llewellyn summons his car (in a car park) using his phone. It stops when he sticks his hand out into the path of the vehicle. The technology is here already, it’s just a case of using it.
