I remember when there was fear that Thunderbird was going to fade away. It is good that it is still going strong.

In fact, the fledgling has grown up and needs a new home.

My report on possible homes for the Thunderbird Project was just published by Mozilla. TL;DR:  While it considers a number of potential destinations, it recommends a choice between the Software Freedom Conservancy, The Document Foundation and a new, arms-length status at the Mozilla Foundation.
