Google Drive everywhere…., or is it?
When you go to the download page for Google Drive it very confidently tells you that it is available everywhere.
Unless of course you are using Linux. Then you get some vague message about a Linux client not being available yet.
Well, this is causing a problem for a lot of Linux users (myself included) who want to use Google Drive, but can’t. To make things worse, it is driving a lot of Linux users away from Google and onto other things like DropBox.
The linked forum is just one of many such threads about Google Drive for Linux. If you read it you can see the angst that is and has been building up for such a long time. People just cannot understand why Google are dragging their heels on this one. Making a Google Drive client for Linux seems like such a no brainer.

Now, to echo the advice in the thread to Linux users in general, if you want Google Drive for Linux, use the feedback option in Google Drive! It is the official route for making suggestions and highlighting areas that need fixing.
Lastly to save Linux users everywhere who so far have been left in the dark, can we please have some good news Google Drive?
