Trying out Linux can be simple
There are lots of different flavours to Linux, which means it most definitely is not a one size fits all operating system. The other good news is that unlike proprietary operating systems (Windows and Mac) it is free. That means you are free to pick and choose and decide which one you like best.
In this column I mention Ubuntu and CloudReady (which is a version of ChromeOS), but there are many others I could have mentioned. CentOS, Mint, Fedora, Arch Linux and Debian are just a few.
If you have an old PC knocking around, you’ll be surprised how easy it is to give Linux a go.
