Watch your data usage on mobile
While on holiday I relied heavily on my mobile phone. Not just for making phone calls and sending and receiving text messages, but for doing internet related activities. For instance, I had to set it up as a WiFi hot spot, so that I could fix a customer’s PC remotely. I also used it to upload photos as part of the #fivedaynaturechallenge and a whole host of other things.
It worked fine, except that I kept hitting my data limit and finding myself spending more money just so that I could get by. At £10 per additional gigabyte it started getting expensive.
Why is that exactly and could there be a better way?
