Updating to a responsive design doesn’t have to be a big deal
The hosting section of Alans IT Solutions is basically a website all by itself. So for it to remain unresponsive was really annoying me. It doesn’t use any fancy content management systems like WordPress, although it does pull some information in from a database (products, etc.). There are no responsive themes that I can simply switch on.
Modifying the design is all about going back to the basics of web development. Inspecting the code on each page and making manual adjustments.
So how long do you think it took me to make it responsive?
It just took a couple of afternoons of casual development around my other daily activities.
So when Google turn on the new algorithm that penalises mobile unfriendly sites in mobile search results later this month, I know my site will be safe.
Have you updated yours yet?

We couldn’t wait any longer
It bugged us that the hosting section of our site wasn’t responsive.
So we updated it.
