It doesn’t look good for Facebook
Are Facebook tracking everyone and breaking privacy laws all over the place at the same time?

This is bad
The researchers now claim that Facebook tracks computers of users without their consent, whether they are logged in to Facebook or not, and even if they are not registered users of the site or explicitly opt out in Europe. Facebook tracks users in order to target advertising.
Just so we have a yardstick to measure Google by, amongst others. Of all the web companies we hold Google to a higher standard, worrying about opt-in tracking and the use of data when all across the web companies that should know better, behave like Robber Barons, simply because they can.
There is a wider discussion here regarding this that needs to be had at some point.
